Anyone who knows us knows we have a deep love affair with the South of France. From lingering lunches in Saint-Tropez to sunset cocktails overlooking the Mediterranean, there’s an effortless elegance to the French Riviera that is difficult to replicate. Yet somehow, Azur Beverly Hills manages to capture that feeling. From the moment we arrived, the restaurant transported us back to the Côte d’Azur, where exceptional food, great wine, beautiful design, and unhurried conversation are all part of everyday life.
Located in Beverly Hills’ Golden Triangle, Azur brings the spirit of the French Mediterranean to Los Angeles through a dining experience that feels both sophisticated and inviting. The space is warm and airy, with soft neutral tones, natural textures, glowing pendant lighting, and a design aesthetic that mirrors the relaxed luxury found throughout the Riviera. As the evening progresses, the energy shifts from an elegant dinner destination to a lively social scene, creating the perfect backdrop for a long evening of food, wine, and conversation.
The culinary program is led by Executive Chef Stanley Suchy, with the menu created by renowned French Chef Éric Cuenin, whose vision celebrates the flavors of the Mediterranean through seasonal ingredients, wood-fire cooking, and dishes designed for sharing.
We began with a half dozen pristine chilled oysters served with a classic mignonette. Fresh, briny, and impeccably presented, they were the perfect way to start the evening alongside a crisp glass of Sancerre.
Next came the Mediterranean octopus, beautifully tender with a delicate char that highlighted the simplicity and quality of the ingredients.
The standout dish of the evening was undoubtedly the Gigli aux Truffes. The delicate gigli pasta is coated in a rich and buttery white wine sauce and finished with generous shavings of black truffle. Decadent and deeply satisfying, it’s the kind of dish you’ll find yourself thinking about long after dinner is over.
For the main course, the steak frites delivered everything you want from a classic French favorite. Perfectly cooked beef paired with crisp golden fries made for a simple yet memorable finale to the savory courses.
Of course, no Riviera-inspired evening would be complete without lingering over one final cocktail. We ended the night with an espresso martini, the perfect balance of bold espresso and smooth sweetness, providing just enough energy to make us wish the evening wasn’t coming to an end.
Azur isn’t simply another Beverly Hills restaurant; it’s an experience that captures the charm, elegance, and joie de vivre that make the South of France so unforgettable. For those craving a taste of the Riviera without boarding a flight to Nice, Azur comes remarkably close.
