SOL Mexican Cocina from Xperience Restaurant Group (owner and operator of El Torito, Chevys Fresh Mex, Sol Mexican Cocina, Acapulco and Las Brisas) recently opened its newest location in Irvine, bringing a fresh unique vibe to the city’s culinary scene. After a multi-million-dollar renovation SOL showcases an exhibition kitchen, spacious modern dining room, an outdoor bar, and an expansive 2861-square-foot patio with seating for up to 100 guests. “As our largest location we will be able to offer our Baja California-inspired menu in an upbeat environment to an even wider group,” says Randy Sharpe, CEO of Xperience Restaurant Group. With locations in cities ranging from Newport Beach to Scottsdale to Playa Vista and Denver, the newest location in Irvine opened its door with a wealth of knowledge and experience bringing the best of Coastal Baja California. Warm, welcoming, and authentic the restaurant is inspired by old and new Mexican designs. The kitchen features its own spin on fresh, healthy, coastal Mexican food with a modern flair. The eclectic menu showcases organic, seasonal dishes and features over a dozen fresh homemade salsas.
The bar options are endless, highlighting the famous SOL hand-crafted margaritas along with over 100 of Mexico’s small-batch mezcal and tequila-focused cocktails. Inspired by frequent trips to Mexico the team of chefs at SOL are consistently learning and perfecting their craft and the evidence shines through with each new menu item that is featured.
